Product Description

Do you Bongo?

The Bongo Board manages to straddle the fine line between fitness and fun in a way that no other product can. Using the principles of balance training, the Bongo Board allows you to do everything from working your abs and core muscle groups, all the way to practicing for that upcoming trip to the Rockies. Working the board into your fitness routine for just a few minutes each day has been shown to help keep minor twists and slips from becoming painful injuries.

The Bongo Board is the hottest balance training device out there for a reason. Not only is the board portable, it is also highly versatile. Obvious balance exercises are as simple as stepping on the board and trying to keep your balance as the independently rotating wheel moves challengingly below your feet. This is a great test for your core as you work to keep the Bongo airborne. Less obvious drills include push-ups using the board surface, yoga style balance with your hands on the board, and even adding an extra dimension to the simple sit-up.

No matter what your activity level, you will get a challenging and highly effective workout from the Bongo Board. Soccer players, golfers, football players, gymnasts, swimmers, and anyone who likes an active challenge will find themselves with improved agility and balance skills. More than that, the board is just plain fun!

With the level of sporting competition increasing all the time, the question is no longer do you Bongo?

It's can you afford not to?

Features:

  • Dimensions - 32in L x 7in W x 9in H
  • Maple plywood board
  • Polypropylene undercarriage
  • Urethane roller with a rubber/nylon bungee cord

Looking Great, January 10, 2011
By Bongo Gal(Eureka Illinois)

I had the original Bongo Board in the 50's. The current version is great but will take me a while to "master" this one. I was in my teen's when I had the original so now in my 70's will take it slow but hope to be able to 'ride' again.

Fun and Active!, January 3, 2011
By Mother of two active girls!(Colorado Springs, CO)

I have two daughters ages 11 and 9. My 11 year old first discovered the bongo board at the fitness center in her middle school. She really wanted one for Christmas and I initially balked at the price. In search of last minute gifts, my dad ended up buying this. Both of the girls use it and are getting very talented at balancing and doing some tricks! They use it even while watching TV! It is defenitely worth the price. I think it is a sturdy, compact piece of workout equipment to have available to the whole family.

YaHoo, August 4, 2010
By TV surfer(Rhody)

I bought this for my 10-year old son. He makes it look so easy. Just gets on and has lots of fun while watching TV. I tried it when he wasn't home -- I'll keep my cell close by next time I get the nerve to try it to call rescue!

review, June 7, 2010
By frog(New Hampshire)

I have found that in order to use this product I need to hold on to something to use the Bongo Board. I'm sure with more practice I will be able to use this without holding on. The quality of the board is very good. The only problem I have faced so far is the instruction booklet was wet when I received the package so I can't read the booklet.

I love it. A friend of mine has one of these and I tried it. I had to have one. The fitness part is great but the pure entertainment quality is priceless. This is great fun!!!

Better than ever, February 8, 2010
By "Bongo Pro"(Los Angeles)

I grew up with a Bongo Board and wanted to get one for my godson and his brothers and sisters. I knew it would provide lots of fun and lots of good exercise at the same time. Before I ordered one, though, I was surprised to see that my Bongo Board had changed--but it got better. The construction quality is higher, the design changes are improvements, and the new board is sturdier. It's also tougher to master. I know because I tried it out right after it arrived and found it more difficult to achieve left-right balance. But it's still lots of fund and good exercise. Highly recommended!

Fun & Challenging, January 10, 2010
By Nancy & friends(Philadelphia, PA)

A fun and challenging way to train for sports requiring balance. Well made, and the elastic band works great - keeps the wheel from getting lost.

Amazing, November 3, 2009
By Snowboarder(New Jersey)

Love this board -- there is so much you can do with it -- as he demonstrated also doing push ups -- you can also do squats in it phenomenal for core and better balance. Bought it about 5 years ago -- still doing well -- practice spins on it and aerial tricks.

Great Buy, August 24, 2009
By the balancer(oakland, ca)

The bungee cord at the bottom is a window/wall/leg saver! The 1st board I had didn't have the cord and 1st time users would send the board flying. The price is right too!

Old School, August 15, 2009
By Craig(Lancaster, OH)

I know nothing about this most recent design, but I love the one that my Dad had in the '60's. I love it so much that I still have it and it's in great condition considering its age. I have recently introduced it to my in-laws and we have a blast on it. If the new model is anything like the old, then I would say that it's a great purchase.

great indoor fun and practice, February 24, 2009

My kids use it constantly to increase their snowboard/skateboard abilities indoors. It is solid well built and doesn't take up a lot of room even when they are using it.

great product, February 21, 2009
By jnrj60(Denver, Pa)

I feel that working out on the bongo has improved my workouts 100%. Not only is it fun (and unusual in the gym) but has helped me improve my core strength, and balance. I am sure that it will help in my interest in surfing this summer, but also works those muscles we don't work on a regular basis....thank you for a great product.

Fun for all ages, February 14, 2009
By Senator Wind Bag(Tacoma, WA)

I bought this as it reminded me of my youth and the original Bongo Board our family had. My father was a former Soccer Goalie and when he became a coach he had the goalies use it for footwark and balance. The new design is beyond my wildest imagination as to its abilities for my kids that snowboard and water ski. It gives the user the ability to make is go in many directions with the tapered wheel that adds to its fun. Great product and it works better on hard floors and cement then it does on carpet but it is good to start on carpet until you are used to it. My youngest son is leaving for Marine Corp. boot camp this summer and wants to take it with him it is that good.

Excellent exercise, January 26, 2009
By Chris(Long Beach, Calif.)

This is an excellent exercise. It looks intimidating at first, but then you get the hang of it. Don't get too complacent though! You can fall even if you have mastered it!

don't know bout this one but, (have not tried this particular one), January 19, 2009
By Gligger(Elmira,NY)

back in the 80's we used to have one with no wire or anything like that and therefore was a lot more challenging, do to the fact that either the board or person could easily be thrown from the thing. also there were only nine made in the U.S.
